During Netflix’s Tudum event, the release dates for the final episodes of “Stranger Things” were announced.
On May 31, the streaming giant released a short trailer to announce that the final season of “Stranger Things” will be split into three parts.
“Volume 1,” consisting of 4 episodes, will arrive on Netflix on November 26, the day before Thanksgiving. The second volume will follow at Christmas with three more episodes.
The final episode will premiere on December 31, New Year’s Eve.
The announcement came after Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard shared their favorite memories of “Stranger Things” since the series debuted on Netflix in July 2016.
However, many fans were left dissatisfied with the trailer. Early on, Noah Schnapp’s character, Will Byers, is seen speaking with his mother Joyce, played by Winona Ryder.

“I think about that night all the time. The night it came for you… the night it all began,” said Winona.
The trailer then shows highlights from the series for about a minute before revealing new footage, which did not sit well with many online users who accused Netflix of “dragging out” the release date.

“We waited three years for old clips and a few new scenes,” one person commented.
The fifth season of “Stranger Things” brings back David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin Henderson), Sadie Sink (Max Mayfield), and many others.
The series will include a time jump to explore the aftermath of Vecna’s actions, as the group searches for a way to defeat the villain once and for all.
